Rebecca Slivinsky (b. 1993, United States) will be receiving an M.F.A. in painting in 2019 from The Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA. She received a B.A. in studio art from Albertus Magnus College, New Haven, CT in 2015. Slivinsky is a multi-media artist that questions an ideal standard of beauty that is forced upon women within western culture in searching for the correlation between unrealistic beauty expectations and the ways in which women are portrayed in the media. She has exhibited work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the United States and internationally. In 2017, she studied in Lacoste, France and in 2018, she studied in Hong Kong, China. Currently, Slivinsky lives and works in Savannah, GA.
